I have been creating web sites for over five years. A full portfolio of web sites I have created can be seen at Usable Web Designs, as can a portfolio of my graphic design work and testimonials.

Poppin's Quilt Parlour A web site for Poppin's Quilt Parlour, located in Penticton B.C. which includes a class calendar, a newsletter, information about the local area to encourage tourist to visit, and a virtual tour of the shop. The site is designed so that the client can maintain it.
Andrew Scott A web site for writer and editor Andrew Scott, who asked for it to be created in a technology that would allow him to maintain the site himself. This site is made in WordPress. It includes a randomly selected banner photo each time the visitor changes page, a flash animation on the home page showing his book covers, and a site map.
Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden Society A large web site for The Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden Society, which is designed so that they can maintain themsleves. It includes an interactive calendar and an online event/membership registration form. I added an eCommerce component, at their request, a year or so later.
Signboom Industries A web site renovation of a highly interactive custom PHP web site. The client wanted to achieve a more "corporate" look, as they target larger clients. I have also created custom internal web-based software which allows Signboom staff to track all the active jobs on the shop floor, increasing their productivity and enabling more responsive customer service.
Joy Coghill A web site for veteran Canadian actress Joy Coghill, to document her career. Joy's goal was to have a definitive record of the productions she was involved in, with accurate dates, locations and personnel. I wanted to create a classy and sophisticated design to communicate the stature of this significant performer, and some of the history of Canadian theatre.
Kensington Cabinets A web site for a kitchen cabinet company that had been expanding rapidly, and wanted to showcase their new capabilities. I maintain their site for them.
Sunshine Coast Conservation Association A large web site for the Sunshine Coast Conservation Association, created in a technology that enables them to maintain content themselves. I also also integrated a password-protected document management system, which allows their board of directors to share private documents with each other through a web-based system.
P.V. Carswell (Roundabout Market) An eCommerce site for author Pat Carswell, which shares information about the author, and sells her novel and other products. Pat entered the product information (text and photographs) herself; I styled the content of the informational pages.
Alderspring Design A web site for a wholesale company that sells sashiko stitching patters and furoshiki patterns. The owner approached me to set up an online shopping solution for her wholesale sewing pattern business, after finding that the free web-based shopping carts she was using did not provide enough flexibility. I also created the sites About Furoshiki and Sashiko Stitchers for this client. The client maintains all the sites herself.
